I bought this as a gift for my nephew who's into marine stuff, and I've been testing it out myself first. Most likely, it does the job for casual use, but I wouldn't rely on it for anything too serious. The display is nice and colorful, making it simple to use, but I've had a few instances where the numbers didn't seem right. For the price, it's okay, but I'd probably look for something sturdier next time. It's handy for quick checks, though, and it fits in my pocket easily, which is a plus. Overall, it's decent but not perfect :)
