So, I picked this up from the store—super convenient, no waiting around. As a car guy, I was excited to try it out. First off, does it work as advertised? Yeah, mostly. It lights up the shifter nicely, and the touch thing is clever; no more digging for buttons in the dark. But is it flawless? Not really. The fit was a bit off on my car, and the brightness can be a bit much—like, why is it so intense? I had to adjust it a few times. Also, the sensor isn't always reliable; sometimes it takes a couple taps to turn on, which is frustrating when you're trying to focus on driving. Overall, it's a fun gadget that does the job, but it's not without its quirks. Would I recommend it? Maybe, if you're into mods and don't mind some fiddling. It's decent, but not amazing.
- Pros: It looks really cool and adds a nice touch to the car interior, making it easier to find the shifter in the dark without fumbling around. The touch sensor works smoothly, so no need to mess with buttons while driving, and the leather feels high-quality and comfortable to grip. Installation was super easy—just wrapped it on without any tools, which was a big plus for a quick upgrade.
- Cons: The fit isn't perfect for all cars; it seemed a bit loose on mine, which isn't a Toyota, and the light might be too bright for some, making it distracting at times. The leather, while nice, could wear out faster than expected with regular use, and the touch sensor occasionally didn't respond right away, which was annoying.
