before i got this, my hallways were always either lit up wasting power or pitch dark and unsafe. now, with the Vestidos switch, it's like having a smart helper that only acts when needed. as an engineer, i can evaluate that the motion sensing is decent but not perfect—it does the job for saving energy and adding safety, but it's not flawless. i've had it for a couple of months, and while it's been helpful, there are moments where it doesn't pick up on subtle movements, which is a bit ironic for something that's supposed to be sensitive. overall, it's a good addition to the home, but i expected a bit more reliability. manuals are helpful for setup, but once it's in, it's mostly hands-off, which i like. not the best, not the worst—just okay.
- Pros: i super appreciate how this thing only turns the lights on when it senses someone around, which has cut down my electricity bill noticeably. it was easy to hook up, just like following a good manual, and it works with all the different power setups in my house without any fuss. the safety aspect is a big plus too, especially with kids running around—no more dark hallways at night.
- Cons: sometimes it misses movements if i'm moving slowly or from certain angles, which can be a bit annoying. the detection range isn't as wide as i'd hoped, so it might not cover larger areas effectively. after a while, it seems a bit less responsive, maybe due to wear or something, but it's not a deal-breaker.
