as a dog owner in la, i was pretty skeptical about this thing at first, but it's turned out to be a lifesaver for keeping the peace in my apartment :) i've used it for a few months now and my german shepherd barks way less during walks and at home, which is a huge relief with neighbors close by. a tip i found helpful is to start with the lowest setting and gradually increase it to find what works best for your pup. could be wrong, but it seems to help with training without any stress. overall, it's quite effective and humane, just make sure to follow the instructions for fitting it snugly to avoid issues. yes, i'd recommend it to others dealing with noisy dogs!
- Pros: it works quite well to quiet my noisy dog without any harsh methods, i like that it only responds to real barking and not other sounds, the battery lasts a long time which is great for daily use, and it's easy to adjust for different situations, plus it handles wet weather just fine
- Cons: it can be a bit tricky to get the fit just right at first, and sometimes it might not catch every single bark if the sensitivity isn't set perfectly, also it's not the cheapest option out there but you get what you pay for
