i bought this a few months back because i was tired of my cat waking me up at dawn for food. as a designer, i appreciate things that work seamlessly, and this does the job for the most part. setting it up was straightforward—just pop in the batteries, set the times, and it's good to go. my cat adapted to it quickly, and it's cut down on my morning stress a lot. but i have to keep an eye on it because the portion sizes vary slightly, which isn't ideal for maintaining a strict diet. the build quality is okay, but not great; it's held up so far, but i worry about long-term durability. overall, it's a solid product that does what it promises, but it could be better with more precision and quieter operation. for the price, it's a decent buy, but not perfect. :)
