As an entrepreneur who's always on the go, I need things to work without hassle, and this heater falls short. I set it up in my small aquarium for my betta, and while it does heat the water, it's not consistent—sometimes it's too warm, other times not enough. Compared to my old heater, this one feels cheaper and less dependable. A tip: test it in a bucket first to avoid shocking your fish, because the temperature swings can be rough. Overall, it's okay for the price, but I wouldn't buy it again unless you're on a tight budget and don't mind some tinkering. Not great for travel either, since it's a bit delicate.
- Pros: It keeps the water warm enough for my fish, which is the main thing, and the suction cups hold it in place quite well, so it doesn't float around or anything. I like that I can adjust the temperature easily without needing to guess, and it's fully waterproof, which is a relief since my last one had issues with that.
- Cons: The manual was useless, just a bunch of confusing diagrams that didn't help at all, and it feels a bit flimsy compared to what I used before, which was sturdier and more reliable. From what I feel, it doesn't heat as evenly, and I had to fiddle with it a lot to get it right, which was frustrating.
