Belfast

As a dad in Belfast, I bought this for my son, hoping it would be a fun STEM activity. It does a decent job introducing solar concepts, and he enjoyed building the different shapes. However, on our often overcast days, the thing barely works, which is a letdown. The build quality seems average—nothing broke yet, but it doesn't inspire confidence. For the price, I expected something a bit sturdier and more effective. It's a good starting point, but don't expect it to hold interest for more than a few weeks. Overall, it's okay, but not fantastic. :)
- Pros: The kit is very educational, teaching kids about renewable energy in a hands-on way without needing batteries. Assembly is straightforward with clear instructions, and it sparks creativity by allowing multiple models to be built from the same parts.
- Cons: The solar panel seems a bit weak on cloudy days, making it less reliable, and some parts feel flimsy, which could lead to frustration during assembly. It's not very engaging for long-term play once built.
