i bought this as a gift for my daughter, thinking it would be a fun way to keep tabs on her without being too intrusive. the reality is, it's been a mixed bag. on one hand, she loves the bright screen and can easily make calls, which makes her feel grown-up. on the other hand, i find myself charging it more often than i'd prefer, and there have been moments when the signal drops, leaving me a bit anxious. overall, it does the job for basic safety, but it's not perfect. i'd recommend it with some reservations, especially if you're in an area with good coverage.
- Pros: i expected it to be just another toy, but it's fairly sturdy and the screen is easy for my kid to use, even with wet hands. the calls come through clearly, which is a relief when i'm checking in, and it suits me that it can handle a bit of water without issues.
- Cons: as it seemed to me, the battery doesn't last as long as i'd like, and sometimes it feels a bit bulky on a small wrist. the connectivity can be spotty in some areas, which is annoying when i need to reach my child quickly.
