before i got this, i was using a smaller coffee maker for gatherings, and it was a hassle to keep refilling it. i thought this would be a game-changer, handling big groups easily. after using it for a couple of weeks, as it seemed to me, it does brew fast and the two-way dispensing is handy for different cup sizes. but honestly, i'm quite unhappy with how it's holding up; the lever issue makes serving a bit frustrating, and it doesn't feel as robust as i'd like. for the money, i expected better, especially since i researched a lot before buying. it's functional, but not the reliable workhorse i was hoping for, and it's made me miss my old setup where things were simpler, even if slower. wouldn't recommend it for frequent use or if you value longevity.
- Pros: the coffee urn heats up quite quickly, so it's ready in no time when you have a crowd waiting. the ready light is a nice touch, letting you know when it's done without any guesswork. it's also easy to fill with clear markings, and cleaning isn't too bad since the lid and basket can go in the dishwasher.
- Cons: unfortunately, it didn't hold up as well as i hoped; after a few uses, the dispensing lever started to feel a bit loose and inconsistent, sometimes dripping or not flowing smoothly. the build quality seems so-so, with the finish showing minor scratches already. it's quite bulky and not as durable as i expected for the price, which is disappointing for someone who likes things to last.
