i bought this as a gift for my nephew, thinking it would be a cool educational thing, and overall, it was a decent experience. putting it together was engaging and didn't take too long—maybe an hour or so with help from the family. the wood feels solid, and i liked that everything was included, no extra trips to the store needed. it does what it says, moving water in a neat way, but i was a bit disappointed that it seems a bit flimsy; one of the joints came loose after a few uses, and i had to reinforce it with some tape. for the price, i expected something a bit more durable, especially since it's meant for kids. on the plus side, it's a great conversation starter and looks cute on a shelf when not in use. if you're looking for a short-term fun project, it's okay, but don't expect it to last forever. :)
- Pros: the pieces are made of good wood and fit together nicely without needing glue, which keeps things tidy. it comes with clear instructions that made the building process fairly straightforward, and it was a fun way to spend time with my kids, sparking their creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Cons: it seems a bit delicate once assembled, so i'm worried it might not hold up with rough handling from the kids. the electric part works, but it's not very powerful, and i wish it had a bit more oomph for the water rolling effect. bottom line, it's not the sturdiest toy out there.
