Summit CP978PLLHD 22 Inch Wide Top-Mount Refrigerator-Freezer: Slim-fitting 22 in. wide design
Meet the Summit Appliance CP978PLLHD, the little fridge that could—especially in kitchens where space is more of a wish than a reality. Sporting a sleek stainless steel facade and squeezing into a mere 22-inch width, this top-mount refrigerator-freezer is like that one friend who’s always cool, no matter how cramped the party gets. Inside, it’s surprisingly roomy with a 7.4 cu.ft. capacity, proving good things do come in small packages.
Now, let’s talk features (because what’s a fridge without its bells and whistles?). It’s got this nifty cycle defrost system that’s half auto, half manual—kind of like a car that parks itself but still needs you to steer. The adjustable thermostat? A dream for anyone who’s ever wanted their leftovers just a tad colder. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly (100% CFC free, because saving the planet is cool), and it plays by the rules with ADA and CARB compliance.
In short, if you’re after a fridge that’s compact, efficient, and doesn’t look like it belongs in a dorm room, this might just be your match.

Bought this on a whim because my old fridge died and I needed something fast. Set it up myself—tips: make sure to level it properly to avoid noise, and give it a day to cool down fully before loading it. It does the job for cooling food and drinks, but I miss having more space for groceries. The temperature control is handy for keeping things just right, though. Overall, it's decent for the price and size, but not perfect :)
- Pros: The packaging was intact which was a nice surprise given my impulsive buy. It fits very well in my small kitchen and seems efficient at keeping things cold with the adjustable settings. The design is sleek and doesn't look cheap, which is great for a tight space.
- Cons: The defrost system is a bit confusing—seems like it needs some manual work which is annoying with kids around. It's not as roomy as I hoped for storing food for multiple people, and the build feels a bit flimsy in parts.
