I picked this up a couple of months ago for our bedroom here in LA, where the air can get pretty dry and dusty. As an entrepreneur always on the go, I appreciate gadgets that multitask, and this one does a decent job. It's what it is—a solid effort from Airthereal. I've used it daily, and it does make the air feel fresher, especially during allergy season. The humidifier part is detachable, which is a nice touch, but I wish it held more water. The purification seems effective; I notice less dust on surfaces, and my husband's sneezing has eased up a bit. On the downside, it's not the fastest at clearing the air if we cook something smoky, and the indicator can be a bit dramatic with its color changes. For the money, it's okay, but I might look for something with a bit more oomph next time. Not bad, but not amazing either. 😊
- Pros: I quite liked how it handles both cleaning and adding moisture to the air in one unit, saving space and hassle. The air quality indicator is helpful, changing colors to show when things are good or need attention, and it adjusts automatically which is nice. It's quiet enough for nighttime use, and the tank is easy to see through so I don't have to guess about refills.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the tank doesn't last as long as I'd hoped before needing a refill, which can be a bit annoying. The child lock is a good idea, but it feels a bit flimsy and not very secure. Sometimes the auto mode doesn't react as quickly as I'd like to changes in air quality, and the overall build feels a bit plasticky for the price.
