Before I got this Optimized General camera I was using an old basic dash cam that was always a mess with wires and poor video quality It was a hassle to check footage and I missed a few incidents because it wasnt reliable Now with this one the improvement is night and day The video is so clear I can read license plates easily and the wireless feature means I just pull out my phone to see whats recorded no more fiddling with cables The sensor is smart locking footage when it senses a jolt which has already saved me from a potential dispute The full rotation lets me point it wherever needed like when parked on a slope and night vision works well though not perfect in pitch black Overall its a solid upgrade for safety and convenience though it has its quirks like the app issues and lack of included storage I recommend it for anyone wanting better peace of mind on the road but be ready to tweak a few things
- Pros: The video quality is incredibly sharp and clear making it easy to see details on the road and the wireless connection to my phone works seamlessly so I can view footage without any hassle The sensor that detects bumps and automatically saves clips is a lifesaver for capturing important moments and the ability to rotate it fully means I can always adjust it for the best view even in tricky spots Night vision is surprisingly good keeping things visible after dark which adds a lot of confidence while driving
- Cons: From what I feel the setup was a bit so-so with some initial confusion getting it connected and the app can be glitchy at times needing restarts It doesnt come with a memory card which is an extra cost and the battery life isnt great if not plugged in constantly Also the build feels a bit plasticky and not as durable as Id like for something that stays in the car all the time
