MacBook Pro 2016 release date: top 3 specs & features so far [rumors] – Latinos Health
The specs for MacBook Pro 2016 are rumoredly designed for gamers.
Apple laptops are not really designed for gaming, so this news for the new Macbook Pro 2016 is a surprise. According to MNR Daily, the new graphics card from nVidia called GeForce GTX 950 will reportedly be used by the new MacBook Pro. According to the website, the graphics card has been optimized to be used for gaming MoBAs and MMORPGs and has a feature called GameStream Co-op, which allows game streaming on the internet by using the player’s computer as a server. However, the report adds that the graphics card is not for heavy gaming and is only suited up to mid gaming.
According to Australia Network News, the new nVidia GPU comes in 2GB ram and costs $159. The article added that the probability of the new MacBook Pro having the new graphics card is high since the current ones are installed with nVidia GPU.
In the report by Geeky-Gadgets, nVidia explained that the new chipset GeForce GTX 950 is three times faster than their former GeForce GTX 650 GPU and can support the latest graphics and effects. The 2GB of memory allows very good texture detail of objects in the game at a 1920×1080 screen.
They also explained their GameStream Co-op feature:
“GameStream Co-op is a new feature that lets you load up a game on your computer and stream it over the internet to another user. That person can watch you play, take over control of the game remotely, or play multi-player games with you as if they were sitting in the same room.”
The new MacBook Pro is reportedly getting Intel’s Skylake processor. Christian Today reports that the processor allows the laptop to have a longer battery life as well as have the Force Touch feature work flawlessly on the device. Additionally, the new Macbook Pro 2016 will reportedly be coming in two editions: A 13-inch display with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB memory which is the standard edition and the premium edition that comes in a bigger 15-inch display with 8 GB RAM and 516 internal memory.
According to Tech Radar, Apple’s move of switching to Intel processors make it seem that the new generation mobile devices will be game-friendly.
However, there may be hindrances along the way such as the Mac App Store which is convenient for apps but not as a gaming platform.
“Most irritating of all is the requirement that all Mac App Store games be sandboxed, meaning that developers can’t include any ways to tie games into your Steam account so you can see your friends for multiplayer there. The Mac App Store is convenient, but as a gaming platform, it just doesn’t compare,” according to the report.
The report added that the games range in Mac is slowly getting stronger and that high-end gamers shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss it.
There is no word on the release date of the new MacBook Pro 2016.
