KINGWOOD —Meetings on Preston County Schools’ new One-to-One program for fifth graders and their parents will be held at 5 and 6 p.m. Aug. 17, in the Bruceton School cafeteria.

Meetings will also be held 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23, at Rowlesburg School, and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 24, at Fellowsville School.

Under the One-to-One program, each fifth grader will receive a laptop, which the student will use during his or her middle and high school years.

School officials will explain the policies regarding the laptops to parents and students at the meetings. Parents will have to sign off on the policies before laptops are issued.

Make up meetings will be scheduled at a later date for those who cannot attend these meetings.
