Story in the Works, FOIA Funding Needed

Hi Readers!

As you know, The Oakland County Times is a reader and advertising sponsor supported publication.  We do a good job of keeping our expenses down, operating at less than $20,000 a year.

But sometimes things come up and we need to ask for your support.

This week is such a case.

We’ve been working on an investigation where we got a favorable response to a request for information through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

However, there is a price tag.  And in this case it’s over $250.

We do think that the information in the FOIA will be useful, and  hope readers will want to know the information contained also.

If you’d like to chip in towards the FOIA please do so at the button below.  If more is raised than is needed, funds will be used for other OC Times journalism related expenses.

Thank you to the people who support this work and the value of local journalism!

NOTE: Our company’s proper name is Muskegon 115 Services, so Pay Pal will show up as that.  Thanks!

It’s also a good time for businesses and groups to come on board as a sponsor.  The more sponsors we have, the more quality reporting we are able to do. CLICK HERE FOR INFO.
