Science journalists featured in Poynter Fellowship event – Yale News

The Yale Science Journalism Symposium, hosted by the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism, will take place on Friday, April 21.

The event, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will be held in Harkness Auditorium at the Sterling Hall of Medicine, 333 Cedar St. It is free and open to the public.

The symposium will feature Molly Webster of Radiolab; Kathy Spindler of “This Week in Virology”; Michael Segal of Nautilus magazine; and Maggie Koerth-Baker of the website “FiveThirtyEight.”

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The Poynter Fellowship in Journalism was established by Nelson Poynter, who received his master’s degree in 1927 from Yale. The fellowship brings to campus journalists from a wide variety of media outlets who have made significant contributions to their field. Among recent Poynter fellows are Zainab Khan, Victoria Lomasko, and Jeff Horwitz.
