Sylvester Stallone Calls His Daughters’ New Fashion Campaign “Volcanic” and “Earth-Shattering” – Vanity Fair
The Stallone sisters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet, are officially models, having appeared in their first campaign as the new faces of Australian leather accessories brand the Daily Edited. While the sisters seem excited, it’s their father, Sylvester Stallone, who’s the most enthused about their big debut. According to a release, Stallone visited his daughters while they were shooting the campaign in Los Angeles, taking photos with his iPhone and gushing about his model children. He described them using terms normally relegated to natural disasters—“volcanic,” “eruptive,” “disruptive,” “earth-shattering,” and “seismic”—but hey, he’s an extremely proud father and Oscar-nominated screenwriter. Using hyperbole to promote his daughters is something he’s comfortable with.
“Because there’s a void of silence. It’s never quiet with you three, which I love,” he elaborated. “The carnival is always in town.”
In January the Stallone sisters were introduced to the world when they served as Miss Golden Globes during the awards ceremony. Their father had them training, Rocky-style, for weeks before the gig. “My dad has given me the advice to speak loud and clear and have great posture, don’t fall,” 14-year-old Scarlet told Us Weekly at the time. “He actually makes me train in heels for an hour every day! He doesn’t want me to fall!”
Stallone’s strict coaching worked: None of the girls fell as they walked the stage at the Globes.
Since then, the sisters have been working to follow in the footsteps of their fellow celebrity children turned supermodels such as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. One week after the Golden Globes, 20-year-old Sophia and 18-year-old Sistine traveled to Milan to walk in the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show, sharing the runway with other buzzed-about offspring including Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia.
Between the Golden Globes, international runways, and fashion campaigns, Sylvester Stallone’s efforts as dad cum manager (dadager?) seem to be reaping the benefits. If he’s looking for any additional tips, maybe he can apply to be the token dad on Yolanda Hadid’s new reality show, Model Moms.
