LAWTON, Okla._A local church is hosting an Easter egg hunt so large, they’ll be using the Cameron University football field.
This is the first year for Grace Fellowship’s ‘Easter Egg Scramble.’ Over 200 volunteers will cover the football field with 60,000, each one filled with toys and candy. The free event is open to the Lawton-Fort Sill community, and Pastor Kirk Pearson sees it as an opportunity to care for people.
“We just want the Lawton/Fort Sill community to know that they’re cared about. We want them to have something that’s great and memorable, and maybe something like they would experience in a big city,” said Pastor Pearson.
The egg hunt is open to children from ages 2-12. The gates will open at noon Saturday and the event will start at 1:00 p.m.
