Grace Jones Performs Topless in Body Paint (and Hula Hoop) at Brooklyn’s … – People Magazine

Grace Jones told fans they better “dress to impress” for her Friday night performance in Brooklyn – and she did the same, performing in body paint, some choice accessories and not much else.

Jones, 67, wore only white paint and flesh-colored bottoms and a corset – as well the occasional hula hoop, mask, cape and headwear, including chainmail – for her show at the Afropunk Fancy Dress Ball.

The “Pull Up to the Bumper” singer-songwriter has had a summer of festivals, and this isn’t the first one at which she has debuted daring look.

In June she performed at the Parklife festival, in Manchester, England, wearing white paint, a straw skirt and a headdress; and also donned a black suit with feathered gold skull mask.

(The skull mask appears to have made a repeat appearance on Friday.)

Then as now, the audience couldn’t get enough.
